Alyeska Pipeline Service Company was established in 1970 to design, construct, operate and maintain TAPS. Alyeska has successfully transported over 18 billion barrels of oil and loaded more than 22,000 tankers at the Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT) since start up in 1977. The Bonneville Power Administration is a nonprofit federal power marketing administration based in the Pacific Northwest.
